Isadora is a software tool that allows artists and designers to present and control video, sound and light. From humble beginnings, this number of users has grown steadily since it was first conceived nearly twenty years ago. Isadora’s popularity stems from the fact it was designed from to encourage the kind of playfulness, experimentation and improvisation that are the hallmarks of every creative act. More than a media server, Isadora is the creativity server. 

Named in honor of the revolutionary American choreographer Isadora Duncan, Isadora was created in the year 2000 by composer, media artist and programmer Mark Coniglio to empower the work he was creating with Troika Ranch, the media intensive dance group that he co-founded with Dawn Stoppiello.
